ARINC < > 1553

The ASIU-E and the newer GPCU, can convert between a 1553 interface (BC/RT/BM) and an ARINC-429/575 interface.

The standard 1553 interface is dual-redundant per MIL-STD-1553 while the standard ARINC interface can involve up to four bidirectional 429/575 channels. ARINC Bit Rate and parity can be selected on a channel basis.

Customized solutions allow for more than one dual-redundant 1553 interface, additional ARINC-429/575 channels and ARINC-561.

The converters can be programmed to perform arithmetic and logical operations as well as bit/byte/word manipulations on the data in both directions in real-time.
